March Pure Country 4H General Meeting

March 28, 2018

Call to Order at 7:07 p.m.

Pledges and Welcome

Minutes – Minutes from last month meeting were distributed via email and the new website.

The minutes from March meeting were 2nd and passed, approved as published.

Treasurers Report- Motion made 2nd, and passed and approved. There was no money activity.


Breakout Committee Reports – We did not break out into committees but did have some reports.

  1. Executive/Education-
  1. Fundraising- We are going to do a BBQ for the PA classic. Thinking about burgers, dogs, chili dogs, slaw and chips. A meal plate for $6. We will need workers.
  2. Record books/Demos- Only 2 record books were brought in for checking. If you have never done record books before don’t wait until last minute to do them.
  3. Celebrations-  carnival with an ice cream bar.

Community Service- Earth day April 21st 2 locations, Coast savers beach clean-up at Sequim Dungeness spit and PA Ediz hook.

  1. Petting Pens- June 9th will be our first petting pen at Dungeness Valley Creamery. Sign ups will be done online in May.

PA Classic-                                                                                                                                                          Unfinished Business- We will be doing fruit box sales as a fundraiser for Clallam Co. 4h extension. Approximately $22-$24 per case of fruit. 4h leaders council will not give funds back to the club BUT the money they make goes to things like scholarships, and buying our wristbands at fair. Important stuff. It is not mandatory to participate.


New Business-

Apples bees fundraiser needs 20 people to pre sell tickets

All those participating in the Jr. Livestock auction make sure and watch for all mandatory requirements and dates!

We had to say Goodbye to Jenny Schmidt our 4h extension coordinator. Her family has moved.

Vacant Project Leader positions – Sewing and cooking leader still needed.

Project Leaders need to remember to check the website and make sure all meeting dates and times and contacts are correct. Also add to correspondence to the project kids.
