Get Involved with Pure Country Club Committees

FUNDRAISING

This committee helps youth members in developing an annual fundraising plan.  They will coordinate at least two annual Fundraising Activities for youth members to participate in and communicate details to club members via club communications.  Fundraising helps to pay for the facility that we use for our meetings, as well as fair passes for participants and leaders, record book covers, year-end pins and subsidizes spirit wear for the club.  If you are interested in helping, please contact Barb McFall – 360-452-6725 (H)  360-912-0262 -barbaramc@centurylink.net

COMMUNITY SERVICE

This committee helps youth members develop an annual community service plan and coordinates two community service events each year.  They coordinate sign-ups to make sure that we have enough volunteers on hand to complete the task.   If you are interested in helping with this committee, please contact Lesley Bender – (209) 452-4979 – benderjs84@gmail.com

P.A. CLASSIC

The Port Angeles Classic is an annual youth livestock show hosted by Pure Country each year in late May/early June.  While this is a show, the focus is on education and helping youth gain the skills they need to be competitive at fair.  If you are interested in helping with this committee, please contact Lindsay Stamp – lindsaystamp@yahoo.com

CELEBRATIONS

This committee plans and coordinates special events such as our annual holiday celebration and the end of year celebration.  They work with the community service committee to host food drives, diaper and clothing drives during our club celebrations.  If you are interested in helping with this committee, please contact Anna Swanberg – annat18@hotmail.com.

PETTING PENS

Petting pens are done 2-4 times each year and are often a combination of community service, fundraising and outreach.  We take our tame animals to a location to let people interact with the animals, ask questions and learn more about 4-H.  If you are interested in helping with this committee, please contact Jeanna Geniesse – 360-461-7298 – geniessefarms@yahoo.com

RECORD BOOKS & DEMOS

Record Books and Demonstrations are a big part of 4H.  Members gain confidence and competence through learning public speaking and record keeping.  If you are interested in helping with this aspect of our club or have ideas on how we can make these activities even more fun, please contact Ivy  Cristian at (360) 797-3352 or cristion@q.com

EDUCATION

This committee plans the educational portions of our meetings, invites guest speakers, and coordinates member activities for the general meetings.  If you are interested in helping with this committee, please contact Anna Swanberg – annat18@hotmail.com or Jeanna Geniesse – 360-461-7298 – geniessefarms@yahoo.com
